We are actively seeking the following:
Set Up/Host (Saturdays/Sundays)
Host will greet students, guide new students to front desk, and then ensure that they are properly outfitted. This task takes approximately 1 hour. If appropriate or desired, Host may be trained in all front desk functions including registration, donations, waiver signing and more.
Host/Assistance at weekday events
We often create weekday events for practice, dance, assemblies and more. We are looking for a volunteer who can assist at those events. This would include a combined host/gear/snack assistant.
This task involves handing out gear to students prior to classes and assisting in gearing up new students. Volunteers will also assist with closing up and loading gear into our mobile vans at the end of classes. Gear assistants work approximately 1/2 hour prior to class and 1/2 hour after class, if available for both. Timing can be adapted to your schedule.
Classroom assistants aid the instructor in taking attendance and assist in various tasks, i.e. helping children with snacks. It might include accompanying the instructor outside while teaching outdoor skills to Level 2 and above. You do not need to be on skates for this position. Timing can be adapted to your schedule. This can apply to Saturdays, Sundays, Thursdays and our after school classes.
We always welcome help with fundraising, marketing, organizing special events, assisting with after-school programs, website design and update, information technology, etc.
