This is the first class for exploring the outdoors\, covering everything from trail etiquette to manhole covers\, curbs\, rocks\, debris\, and wheelchair ramps. We’ll teach you how to navigate slight inclines and declines and improve your skills by learning left and right turns – but make sure you’re comfortable with parallel turns first. Don’t worry if you want to take it slow; this course is all about getting comfortable outside. Students should be able to use their use heel brakes or toe stops. This class is required to learn and assess your skills for the Trails and Fitness on Skates classes. The instructor will let you know if you’re ready to progress. \n\n\n\n\n\nFor: Adults Level 4 and Children level 4 and up\,\nFor: Inline and Quad Skaters\nSaturday classes are subject to instructor availability and weather conditions.\n1 hour\nRequired: Skates must have a brake or toe stop.\nMinimum of three students must be registered to hold a class.\nHelmet and protective gear required. Students will practice on a short section of the trail (either a city block distance or a 3-city block section).
