Hello Skaters,

As the rain gently washes away the smoke and nourishes our gardens (while keeping my two dogs cozily indoors), we’re thrilled to share that the weather is looking fantastic for this weekend’s penultimate Hit Your Stride 5k/10k event!

We already have a great group signed up, and we can’t wait to see your smiling faces as you cross the finish line. Even better? We’ll be grabbing coffee or lunch together afterward at a nearby restaurant — always a highlight!

Weekend Schedule

Saturday:
Regular classes as usual — come skate, learn, and have fun!

Sunday @ 10 AM:
Hit Your Stride at the Marymoor Storage section of the East Lake Sammamish Trail.

Helmet Check Reminder
A quick story: My puppy is now 6 months old and has grown from 6 to 17 pounds. Yesterday, I tried to buckle his harness and realized it no longer fit — which got me thinking….

Parents — when was the last time you checked your child’s helmet size?
As kids grow, so do their heads (and brains!), and helmets can quickly become too small. A properly fitting helmet should sit just above the eyebrows. If it’s creeping up toward the hairline, it’s time for a new one.

The helmet is the most important piece of protective gear — let’s make sure it fits right!
