Cancellation Policy
We request that you cancel at least 2 hours in advance. However, if you or your child are unwell, please notify us as soon as possible. There is a $10 charge for a “no-show” without any notice, unless it is due to illness.
Email us if you need to cancel. If your class is cancelled due to illness or weather, your registration will be rescheduled for a mutually agreeable date and time. The health of our Students and staff always come first.
Purchase Policy / Returns & Refunds
We appreciate that you have invested your time, energy, and money with us to help YOU reach YOUR skating goals; so, thank you for reading and agreeing to the following:
For All Lessons and Lesson Packages (indoor or outdoor):
1. Lessons once purchased are non-refundable. Purchased Lessons expire in 120 days.
2.Unused lessons are non-refundable.
3. Prior to expiration, any unused portions may be donated to Skate Journeys for those who would otherwise be unable to afford lessons. The remaining value donated is tax-deductible.
Pre- Covid Packages: Skate Journeys previously sold classes that are no longer available. This section only applies to those who have purchased those packages. Please note that we intend to extend the actual classes to a timeframe that works for you. However, due to government regulations, we must expire them at the end of one year. When we do that, we will re-create them as coupons in your account instead of a dollar amount. If you bought a 6-pack and used 2, you will have 4 coupons in your account for future classes. Please note that if you have not signed up or used these classes through our New Customer portal, then reach out to our team. Thank you to all of you who are sticking with us!

Lesson Packages:
You may share use of lesson packages within the immediate family and household members for outdoor classes with the exception of the first class.
You will need to purchase a first class separately for each new skater in your household.

Image release – this is optional, and they can grant for their self, or their self and their children, reads as follows:
I hereby grant permission for Skate Journeys to use photographs and/or video of me taken at skate classes, skate programs, or any Skate Journeys events, on our website, social media, marketing materials, and in other communications related to the mission of Skate Journeys.
I authorize the use of my image for, but not limited to, publication on the internet, magazines, journals, books, articles, etc., provided that it is done for lawful purposes.
I hereby release all rights to any, but not limited to, claims, rights, demands, and/or any causes of action by me or my representatives, heirs or anyone else.
I hereby acknowledge that I will not be entitled to payment or any sort of charge for such action. I hereby waive my right to any royalty or any other compensation with regard to the usage of the photos referred to in this form.
I hereby authorize Skate Journeys to edit, change, and make any use of all photographs of me to be used for promotional materials.
Payment method
Your credit card number is not stored in our system. Our payment processor provides the means for replicating an order without storing your credit card number. Future giving and purchase requests may be made using your order number as reference.
Instructors are subject to change to fit the needs of our programs.
You are 18 years of age or older and able to consent to the above.
Camp registration
TERMS: This payment is not refundable. The remaining balance for each camp registration listed will be charged to the card provided one week before start date.
Requests to move a child’s registration from one camp to another will be subject to a nonrefundable $30 change fee.
Liability Waiver

AMATEUR ATHLETIC WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY. READ BEFORE AGREEING: In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Skate Journeys program, related events and activities, you acknowledge, appreciate and agree that: the risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death. And while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and you KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASES or others.
You assume full responsibility for your participation; and you willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If however, you observe any unusual significant hazard during your presence or participation, you will remove yourself from participation and bring such attention of the nearest official immediately; you acknowledge that if you are uncomfortable with any activity, exercise, or training program within the class that you may immediately state so, and that it is your right and responsibility to remove yourself from the situation immediately and that you are encouraged to do so.
You, for yourself and on behalf of your heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS this location, where activities take place, SKATE JOURNEYS, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, whether paid or not, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, partners, members, assistants, independent contractors, volunteers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event, and agents Of Any Type Whatsoever Acting On Or In Behalf Of The Aforementioned Entities And Persons (“Releasees”) WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage of any kind to person or property suffered by myself or any others, directly or indirectly, arising out of any practice, instructions, or other activity related to this program as well as participation in this program or traveling to for from this program or any other activity related to this program.
WHETHER ARISING FROM NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEEES OR OTHERWISE, YOU HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHT BY AGREEING TO IT, AND AGREE TO IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT INDUCEMENT.
You understand that the activities, exercises, and training methods to be taught may not be appropriate for all people and may, in some cases, cause injury or aggravate existing injuries. You certify that you are physically able to participate in this activity and will further hold Skate Journeys, as well as all officers, partners, members, employees, assistants, independent contractors, volunteers, assigns, or agents of any type whatsoever acting on or in behalf of the aforementioned entities and persons, harmless for any injury sustained in the course of this training due to any physical defect or condition you may have, whether now known or hereinafter discovered. You also understand that all exercises, training methods, and concepts are to be used at your own risk and that the aforementioned trainers and entities assume no responsibility for your actions.
You further acknowledge that in consideration for this training, this release shall not expire and shall be considered effective in perpetuity. You have understood all that is expressed in this Waiver and Release of Liability, and you certify that you are of sound judgment, legally competent to agree to this waiver.
For participants of minority age (under age 18 at time of registration), this is to certify that you, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to their release as provided above of all Releasees, and, for yourself, your heirs, assigns, and next of kin, you release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to your minor child’s involvement or participation in these programs as provided above, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
In consideration of having the opportunity to participate in Skate Journeys activities, and in acknowledging that you are aware of and willing to assume the risks associated with this activity, you hereby voluntarily agree to waive, hold harmless, and indemnify Skate Journeys and its trustees, agents, volunteers, and employees and the agreed-upon venue from any and all claims, demands, damages, and causes of action of any nature whatsoever arising out of ordinary negligence which you, your heirs, your assigns or successors may have against them for, on account of, or by reason of your participation in the above activities.
