After school Program
Skate Journeys uses After School Programs and Skate Clubs to provide students and participants the opportunity to learn about the sport of skating in a fun, supportive, and non-classroom environment. While many of our programs are offered as after-school activities in partnership with schools, Skate Clubs can also be offered through homeschool groups, community organizations, and other partner locations.
Both After School Programs and Skate Clubs operate similarly, with participation based on individual choice and interest. These programs encourage physical activity, skill development, confidence, and social connection through roller and inline skating.
Our longest-running program was at Coe Elementary School. The weekly program, known as “Coe Club,” served students for more than 9 years and introduced hundreds of students to the joy of skating.
School-based After School Programs are developed directly with schools, and registration is managed through each school’s enrollment process. Skate Clubs may be organized through schools, homeschool communities, or other partner organizations depending on the location.
