Our Classes
At Skate Journeys, we offer weekly classes for ages 5 and up to learn inline and roller skating. Our certified instructors teach effective techniques in a safe environment. Join us to learn to skate or improve your skills while having fun! Customized classes and private lessons are available.
Group classes inspired by the Pacific Northwest promote movement through skating.
Classes are held every week except holidays. Check our events calendar for specific dates.
All students must wear protective gear and helmets.

- Basic Skills: Learn to Skate, Beginner Levels 1, 2, and 3.
- Upper Level: level 4, 5, & 6
LEVELS & SKILLS

Beginner 1:
You will attend this class only once before advancing to Beginner 2, unless otherwise advised by your instructor. Adults and children are taught separately.
Skills: Duck Walk, Stride One, Stopping, How to Fall/Not Fall, and Edges/Balance/Rotation. -
Beginner 2:
Expected to be in this class for 4-10 sessions. Separate classes for adults and children.
Skills: A-Frame Turns, One-Foot Glides, and Toe Rolls. -
Beginner 3
Typically, participants will be in this class for 6-12 sessions. Adults and children have separate classes.
Skills: Stride Two, Swizzles, Parallel Turns, and Complete Stops. -
Level 4:
Typically around six months. Combining children and adults.
Skills: One Foot Glides on Various Edges, Backward Stroking, Continuous Crossovers, and T-Stops. -
Level 5:
A lifetime. Separate classes for adults and children.
Skills: Crossovers in a Circle, Transitions, One-Foot Slaloms, Hockey Stops, and Backward Crisscross. -
Level 6:
A lifetime. Adults and children are separate.
Skills: Advanced. -
Specialty Classes:
Roller Fitness, Slalom Skating, Skate Jam, Combo Class.
