We are also planning to offer Eastside classes but have been unable to find a location that would allow us to offer regular classes. The private gyms we were renting have gone in a different direction. The community centers don’t allow us to rent. regularly so they are not an option. We continue to offer our summer camps on the Eastside.
There is no water fountain at the venue, and we encourage you to bring your own water bottle to the class. We are working on getting one but plan on being self-sufficient for right now.

Our camps are designed specifically for children! They are ideal for both new and experienced skaters. We have at least a dozen trained and certified camp counselors for each camp session.
We accept kids aged 6 to 12 years old for our camps. No exceptions!
The number of campers we can accept depends on the number of camp counselors available. We typically have 140 to 150 camp slots across four camps, with 28 to 40 campers in each camp.
Ensure that you have updated the camper’s information by clicking the “Update” button next to their name in the Customer Portal. For directions, visit: https://skatejourneys.org/updating-your-account/

We recommend inline skates that are optimal for both indoor and outdoor use. For further information, please visit our equipment page; however, we advise against purchasing skates from Amazon. We recommend www.shop-task.com, which offers complimentary shipping, and by using the code ‘sj student,’ you will receive a 10% discount. Any of their skates would be suitable, though the Microblade presents the best value overall. For additional information, please check our website. Equipment – Pick Top Brand Skates – Skate Journeys
Campers are organized according to their skating proficiency. While we strive to place individuals with similar skills together, we cannot ensure this arrangement. Campers registered for the same camp will generally have the opportunity to remain together throughout the duration of the camp, even if they are not assigned to the same group.
In the past, we have held camps indoors at Eastside Christian. Please check the Skate Camp page for current camp locations.
Absolutely! All of our campers vary in experience, from complete beginners to advanced skaters. We find that children learn best from one another, so we welcome new skaters!
Our program offers a well-rounded experience for campers, combining structured skate lessons during the morning with engaging arts and crafts, games, and an optional additional hour of skating in the afternoon. This schedule provides ample opportunity for meaningful social interactions and the creation of lasting summer memories with both new and established friendships.
To maximize participation opportunities for all campers, we limit registration to one camp per child. Should additional camp spots become available, your child may have the opportunity to enroll in more than one camp. We will communicate any updates regarding the potential for registering for multiple camps.
Certainly! We provide inline skates, protective gear, and helmets for rent—essential equipment for camp participation.
