Weekly Class Updates
Hello Skaters,
Delighted to be back to Saturdays and Sundays and we had lots of familiar faces, and it was a bit like a reunion. With the new schedule of needing to cover both days, we are a bit short on Saturdays and so the Kids 4/5 class will combine with Adult 4/5 class (usually taught by Trish). We’ll make sure the kids get a snack break.
1. Saturday and Sunday classes will happen!
2. Upcoming schedule changes:
a. No changes for October.
b. We will offer a session on Thanksgiving Day 9am to 11am. It’s a fundraiser and we’ll offer it for a small donation fee. Come skate before the big feast.
c. Closed for classes on Nov 30 and Dec 1st for Thanksgiving.
d. Offering a Holiday Camp on Nov 30 and Dec 1st for kids and adults (9am to noon)
e. Last class for 2024 is Sun Dec 15
f. Free class for Saturday is Dec 14th

Instructor Spotlight
Sophie Wang
Please meet Sophie who has been skating for almost 12 years and has been teaching for the last 5.5. She can be found working on the inline version of Shoot the moo (trust us it’s hard) and any other move she is intending to conquer. Outside of skating she enjoys drawing, Vex VCR (Robotic Competitions) and photography. She’s a Junior at our Local High School. Her favorite thing about teaching at Skate Journeys is watching students develop a passion and excitement for skating. Many of her early students have become instructors too… so it’s safe to say she is an inspiration.
