> Turnaround Spots for Our Hit Your Stride Trail Skates – You can park and walk to the trail, hold a yard sign, and be there for our skaters! Volunteers will receive a shirt and volunteer hours. It’s about an hour, and you’re welcome to join us afterward for lunch or a late snack at Whole Foods!
> Weekend Classes – Help make our classes great by lending a hand!
Looking forward to seeing you on the rink or trail soon!

Hit Your Stride Trail Skate Series
Get ready for an exciting skate adventure! Our Hit Your Stride Trail Skate Challenge Series (HYS) kicks off on Sunday, June 15th at 1 PM on the East Lake Sammamish Trail.
> Meeting Spot: Just south of Whole Foods Redmond, about 50 yards from the parking lot. Photos and a map are coming soon!
Choose Your Distance:
Our first event was originally planned as a 5K, we’re now adding a 10K option for skaters who want to push a little farther. It’s an out-and-back route, so you’ll skate until you see a volunteer and one of our signs at the turnarounds:
5K Turnaround – 1.65 miles
10K Turnaround – 3.3 miles
Why Should You Join?
Last Sunday, Sanghavi, Annie Lu, and I skated this trail, and it was absolutely breathtaking! With stunning views, peaceful surroundings, and serene water scenery, this trail makes for an unforgettable skate. To skip it would be a total FOMO moment—it’s 100% worth it!
Mark your calendar and stay tuned for more details next week. This skate is shaping up to be something special! More info
New Indoor Skating Venue

Exciting New Event! Celebrate the Launch of a New Indoor Skating Venue in Issaquah!
Join us for the soft opening of Rock and Roll Rink on Saturday, June 14th from 6:30–8:30 PM, and be part of this special moment!
Rock and Roll Rink will be testing their systems and capturing photos and videos as they prepare for their upcoming Saturday 9–2 skates at the Issaquah Farmer’s Market in August and September.
Founded by Skate Journeys instructors Irene Pasternack and Ed Mills, along with former Skate King manager Ayla Webb, this non-profit rink is bringing pop-up skating spaces to the Eastside and working toward a permanent indoor rink in the future.
Don’t miss this chance to celebrate skating and help support the growth of indoor skating opportunities in our community!
Thank you for your support! Trish & the SJ Team
