Weekly Class Updates

Hello skaters,

We hope you had a wonderful, long, and sunny weekend! We’re excited to roll back into classes this Saturday — please note, there will be no Sunday classes until October.

Here’s what’s happening:
– Regular classes are on this weekend!
-Ernie will not be teaching dance this summer as we’re using the speaker for camp.
– Happy Birthday to Jordan Hass!
– Summer Camps launch this Monday, July 14, a few spots remain, but most sessions are nearly full! More info

Upcoming Classes and Events

1. ShoDown in SeaTown – August 1–3
Now in its 15th year, ShoDown in SeaTown is a high-energy event for adult skaters, inspired by the vibrant adult night sessions at local rinks. This annual skate party features:
– Specialty DJs spinning incredible music
– Meet & greets with fellow skaters
– Late-night skates at Lynnwood Bowl & Skate

It coincides with Seafair Weekend and draws skaters from across the country. Events like this happen nationwide — from Chicago to NYC — where local crews show off their amazing moves.

Be prepared:
– Skating skills required — there are hills!
– Protective gear strongly recommended
– Urban & trail routes over four days

Jordan Hass, the Birthday Guy!

Jordan Hass came to Skate Journeys through his friend Isaiah Woodward, who also works for us. Happy 25th birthday, Jordan!

Jordan works at our front desk, assists with afterschool programs and in-school programs, and this year was made Co-Manager of our Summer Camps program. In fact, today he is teaching at the Evergreen camp — a half-day camp we run each year before launching our full-day camps.

Jordan lives in Everett and drives the smart car you’ve probably seen in the parking lot. He is Level 1 certified and is part of our chief admin team, supporting all the classes, students, and campers.

We are grateful for his contributions to our skate school — in all the ways he contributes — and I’m super sorry we don’t have a picture of him in our duck costume. How did he avoid that?!

Jordan, thanks for just being so awesome!

Thank you for your support! Trish & the SJ Team
