Hello Skaters!
As summer continues to dazzle us with sunshine and fun events, we’re excited to hit the rink this Saturday—where it’s cool inside and the vibes are always great! There’s a lot happening, so please take a moment to review a few updates and changes:
This Weekend
Regular classes are on! Attendance is usually lighter this time of year as many of you are traveling, but we’ll be there and ready to roll!
We hope you’re thriving this summer and skating whenever you can. We can’t wait to see you back on wheels soon!
Hit Your Stride - New Date!
- We’re moving our Hit Your Stride event from this Sunday to Sunday, September 7th at 10 AM.
- Location: Marymoor Storage / East Lake Sammamish Trail
- Join us for the final 5K/10K of the season—perfect timing as more skaters return from summer adventures!
Upcoming Classes and Events
1. Apprentice Program:
> Starts late October for those interested in becoming Skate Instructors.
> New requirement: Must be 12 years old by October 1st.

2. Next Free Class: Saturday, September 6th—right after the holiday weekend.
3. Sunday Classes Return
Starting October 7th, which also marks our first Sunday Free Class for fall!
4. Local Skating Event – Not SJ Hosted: WNS Fest by the amazing Wednesday Night Skate crew!

New Location in the Works: Issaquah!
> We’re working through logistics like insurance, but we’re hopeful to start offering classes at Pickering Barn in Issaquah beginning early October.
