Weekly Class Updates

Hello Skaters,

As the weather changes and we see more rain than sun, seems like the best time to open up Sunday classes. In about 10 days we will return to having classes both Saturday and Sundays. The classes start at the same time: 9:45am for Beginners, 10am for levels B2 through Level 6 and slalom. Sundays we are offering an additional 30-minute class for Advanced students, from 9:15am to 9:45am. It will include Slalom when that instructor is available.

Regular classes this weekend. Always check the grid on Friday to ensure your class is available. Some of our instructors (volunteer and paid) cannot work so sometimes Slalom and upper-level classes are not available. Thanks for coming to classes. Last week was one of our most well attended in a while and we heard this a lot: It’s so good to be back!

upcoming classes and events

1. Apprentice Instructor Course start October 20th. Kids must be at Level 4 with solid skills and adults must be at the top side of Level 3.

2. Coming soon: Thanksgiving Day Skate Fundraiser from 9am to 11am. We are structuring it a bit differently this year, so plan on joining us before you feast!

Hit Your stride challenge

Group of people on roller skates.

Hit your Stride Challenge completed for the year and the participants had so much fun! Congrats to 10k finishers Rachel, Colleen, Claire & Jean and 5k finishers Sara, Alex and Elaine. Thank you to all who signed up to support this fundraiser. It will return again in the spring/summer, and we intend to offer more trail classes to prepare more of you to take on the challenge.
