Weekly Class Updates

Hello Skaters,

As the weather yo-yo’s between sunny and rainy, we want to make sure you are still doing outdoor events! (see below).

1. Free Classes this Saturday! All skill levels and ages welcome.

• If you have taken a skate class with us before, show up to the rink & drop-in to join

• If you’re never taken a skate with us before, pre-register & show up at the rink

2. No Sunday Classes this Summer! Saturday Classes only (June 16 – Sep 19).

Next Trail Class - Tomorrow!

Thursday night (tomorrow) we are offering our Outdoor Skills class
at Jack Block Park on Alki at 7pm.

This class assists you with learning how to navigate hills and how to navigate various hazards like wheels chair ramps, manhole covers, curbs and more.

Jack Block Park has parking in the park, but note they close at dusk so you don’t want to stay parked there past dusk. There is parking along the Alki Beach Trail and there are bathrooms and a water fountain in the park.

Time: The class starts at 7pm and goes for a bit over an hour

Location: Jack Block Park: 2130 Harbor Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98126 (look for and drive through the big red archway)

Cost: Price of one class, which is $30 drop-in, or you can use one of your packages at $25 — 4 for $100.

Who: This is for adults at Level 3 and kids at Level 4. Must be able to use your brake or toe stop efficiently.

What: We will learn to skate curbs, inclines, declines, a hill and a traverse hill’s which has switchbacks. Take on what you can. If you’ve done this class before, it’s free to you, just email me via our WhatsApp group that you are attending as a returning student (hills and hazards returning student).

Hit Your Stride!

This weekend looks a little iffy due to weather, but just know if we miss this opportunity, your entry fee still works for the following dates: July 21st, August 4th and the makeup rain skate of August 11th

So, if you buy it for this weekend and it doesn’t happen, you can use any of the other dates to skate the 5k. Trish will keep you posted on this Sunday’s skate (Challenge #1). Right now, it looks like it will be dry in the morning.

Location to start the event will be sent out by Friday!
